CCTV and Security Services Upgrade Project
The CCTV Upgrade Project comprises of representatives from Greater Manchester
Police, First Choice Homes and Oldham Council.
As part of the project, Oldham Council is now seeking quotations for

Project Aim:
Upgrade the infrastructure of the CCTV and Security Services Control
Room to:
- make it fit for purpose
- ensure business continuity for Security Services
- prevent catastrophic failure of the CCTV infrastructure as a result of equipment exceeding
its natural lifespan
- provide a secure technology platform for the future delivery of CCTV and Oldham Security
Services
- enhance the ability of the Oldham Local Strategic Partnership to deliver safer, stronger
communities, tackle crime and disorder, whilst promoting community cohesion
Project
Scope:
- to upgrade the infrastructure at the Council’s Control Room to enable digitalisation
of CCTV recording
- to upgrade Display Screen Equipment
- incorporate Automatic Number Plate Recognition
- develop the Council’s first response capability to incidents and emergencies
- enable the provision of an Integrated Borough Operations Command and Control Centre

project will contribute to the Local Strategic Partnership’s Vision For Oldham:
