The Register Office is open to the public Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm for the registration of recent births and deaths taking place within the Borough of Oldham (please telephone our appointment line 0161 770 3708 or book online to make an appointment). We also deal with civil preliminaries to marriages of Oldham residents (notices of marriage) and perform civil marriage ceremonies at the Register Office and other approved wedding venues within the Oldham Borough.

The Register Office holds records of births, deaths and marriages which have taken place in the Borough from 1837 to the current date. You may access these records by buying a certified copy.
