Through Bloom and Grow, grass verges in Oldham have been planted with wildflowers; removing the need for them to be routinely mowed.

The locally sourced seed mix contains annual and perennial species that enhance the environment and provide a sustainable habitat for bees and butterflies.

Derker Wildflower Meadow.

We have also helped local schools create wildlife woodland habitats within Chadderton Hall Park and their school grounds.

With the help of the Gateway Project Oldham we are transforming Mill Brow, Chadderton into a wildlife area for the local community by seeding wildflowers and planting native woodland species. Here we have also constructed and installed bat and bird boxes to encourage wildlife to use the site and have also provided seating for local people to enjoy the area.

This area will be an educational resource for local schools to enjoy and learn about habitats, minibeasts and all the other wildlife that is a part of the area where they live.
