Engaging with local democracy can enable you to influence how things are run in your local area. You can do this by contacting your local councillor or MP, by making sure you are registered to vote and, when its election time, casting your vote.
Taking part in a consultation enables you to influence decisions in your local area. You can access and participate in a wide range of public consultations by visiting our consultation portal.

Attend meetings about your area
Each neighbourhood holds regular PACT (Partners and Community Together) meetings. These are an opportunity to talk to the people providing your local services.
