People who work

People who work can also claim Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Benefit.

It does not matter if you live in:

  • Council housing
  • Private rented accommodation
  • A hostel or other similar accommodation
  • Many other types of rented accommodation (but not most residential care of nursing homes).
