Oldham Council is proud of its men and women serving in the Armed Forces. The Council is committed to ensuring that all citizens of the Borough who are currently serving in the armed forces and veterans are not disadvantaged due to their service.

Register to vote
If you are a member of the Armed Forces, or the husband, wife or registered civil partner of a member of the Armed Forces, you need to make sure that you are registered to vote.
If youre based overseas or think you may be posted overseas in the next year, you should register as a Service Voter, as this allows you to register at a fixed address in the UK even if you move around.

ID card discounts
Working through the Town Centre Partnership various local shops offer a range of discounts to currently serving pesonnel on production of a current, valid ID card.
So far these include:
- Trespass 15% discount
- Clintons Cards 20% discount
- Demolition Clothing 10% discount
