As a reflection of the council and Oldham Partnership's ongoing commitment to the arts and creative activities, government has given us the chance to gain more funding to promote the arts. Oldham is the only area in the country to have this opportunity - so we need to take it!
To get the extra funds, we need to show that the number of people taking part in drama, singing, dancing, painting, designing websites and taking part in other creative activities has risen over the past three years. We can only prove this with your help.
We're not just looking at council services, the Coliseum Theatres, Gallery Oldham or the colleges -although all these count. We need to find out how many people are members of local arts societies, dance or drama groups, music clubs, community arts initiatives or anything else that encourages people over 16 to get involved in the arts.
The link above will direct you to an online questionnaire. It takes no more than two or three minutes to complete and could win you a prize and will help to bring more arts funding to Oldham.
