In School Coaching Programme
The 2007/2008 school year has seen the inauguration of the In School Coaching Programme (ISCP). The aim of the programme is to increase the number of schools delivering 2 hours high quality PE in school and support schools in the delivery of PE at key stages 1 & 2.
The in-school coaching programme, is a buy in programme which delivers key stage 1 and 2 physical education in line with the national curriculum and is now available to schools within Oldham. This agreement can be made on a termly or an annual basis.
Key stage 1 delivery focuses on the development of fundamentals of movement related to sports skills and key stage 2 delivery covers the games and athletics strands of the national curriculum. 10 schools have bought into the Programme in year 1 and a total of 1127 children have received the coaching.
