Approximately 100 young people from Oldham travelled to Trinity High School in Hulme for this year’s Greater Manchester Mini Games.
Representative Primary School teams (age 5-11 years) from Oldham, Tameside, Manchester, Stockport and Trafford took part in competitions in 8 different sports; netball, tag rugby, athletics, hockey, basketball, tennis, girls football, and gymnastics.

Oldham were run away winners in the Gymnastics competition. Other successes for Oldham included the Fair Play Award in the Hockey and Rugby competitions.
Schools that represented Oldham were, Knowsley, St Mary’s High Crompton, East Crompton St Georges, Lyndhurst, Kingfisher, St Mary’s Failsworth and Stanley rd, who had previously won through Oldham qualifying cluster tournaments. All schools were a credit to Oldham
