Tenant and Leaseholder Participation Agreement

What is the Tenant and Leaseholder Participation Agreement and how does it work?
Tenant Participation Agreements (or Compacts, as they are sometimes called), are written agreements between local authority landlords and their tenants, residents and leaseholders.
The government expect all councils to produce Agreements for housing management.

First Choice Homes Oldham, as a council-owned Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), produces an Agreement on the council's behalf.
The Agreement spells out, in clear language:- How tenants, residents & leaseholders can get involved, collectively
or
a
s individuals, in local decisions on housing matters that affect them - What First Choice Homes Oldham and its tenants, residents & leaseholders want to achieve via the Agreement, such as better ways of working together, a better quality of life for people who live on FCHO managed estates or how to improve local services
- How the Agreement will be put into practice and monitored to make sure that it is working properly
The Agreement was developed in partnership with tenants, FCHO board members and officers using a variety of different methods, such as focus groups, conferences and information from the General Tenants Survey.
Where can I get a copy of the Agreement?
