Arrears
We can offer advice if you are struggling to make your housing payments.
What to do if you fall into rent arrears
If you experience problems making your housing payments you should:
- Contact your Housing Officer immediately, their telephone number is on all letters that are sent to you.
- Ensure that you do not make agreements which you will not be able to maintain, because this will only result in further problems.
- Choose a payment method that is convenient to you, so that further payments are not missed.
- Always respond to any contact like letters and visits as soon as possible as delays will result in further problems.

If you have any of the following arrears you should contact our Customer Finance section on 0800 085 2627:
- Former tenant rent arrears
- Housing Benefit overpayments
- Rechargeable repairs
- Legal costs
- Legacy water accounts
