Retirement Support Services
The Retirement Support Service is the new name for the Care at Home Warden Service.
This is a newly developed service which aims to help support people to remain independent, giving choice and empowering them to continue to live in their chosen form of accommodation as long as possible.
Aims and Objectives of the Service:
WHAT DOES THE SERVICE OFFER?
The service offers low-level support and assistance to any person aged 60+ living or moving into the borough of Oldham regardless of tenure and may be living in isolation.
We can offer our service to:
FCHO Tenants
Residential Social Landlord Tenants
Private Rented Tenants
Owner Occupiers
WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA?
To be eligible for the service people must be:
·A resident of Oldham
·Aged 60+
·Capable of living independently in the community provided suitable support is offered
·Have housing related support needs
·Willing to engage with the support offered
HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE SERVICE?
To access the service you can refer yourself or agencies, relatives or friends that already support you can apply on your behalf with your permission.
If you wish to apply to the service you can do so by applying online by clicking the links for the referral forms.
