Join our Think Tank!
We want to make sure that we provide excellent, customer-focussed services to all our customers. To help us, we have recruited customers to our new Think Tank to inspect our services (sometimes secretly!). Think Tank members work in two distinct areas:
Mystery Shopping
Customers can help us by visiting housing officers and telephoning services to make sure that we are meeting the standards set in our Customer Care Charter. We do not tell staff this is happening to ensure that the service our Mystery Shoppers receive ‘feels real’.
Housing Service Inspections
To help ensure that our services are of a high quality, Think Tank volunteers can act as Housing Service Inspectors. The role is wide and varied and offers exciting opportunities to influence the services we provide to our customers.
Housing Service Inspectors check the quality of our services through regular health checks. This involves a programme of real inspections covering all our service areas.
Getting Involved Online
Think Tank members also check the quality and content of our publications and website. As this can easily be done online it is ideal for customers who may find attending meetings inconvenient but who still wish to be involved.
The work is unpaid, but Think Tank members receive full expenses, as well as making a significant contribution to the development of an excellent housing service for our customers.
Full training and support is provided.
Think Tank members can be tenants, people who have bought their own homes, or even people who rent from other landlords e.g. housing associations.
