Emanuel Whittaker, Mayor of Oldham in 1873, established his company on its present site in 1837. Over 160 years later the company still operates from the same site and the staff includes Emanuel’s great grandson and great-great granddaughter.
However the firm has certainly not stood still over all those years. Today the company specialises in working in Partnership with providers of social housing. In particular, the Partnership with us has won national recognition for its commitment to customer care.
