What is Antisocial Behaviour?
The terms ‘Antisocial Behaviour’ and ‘Neighbourhood Nuisance’ cover a wide range of behaviours that stop other residents from enjoying their own homes.
Where this happens we will use a range of measures, often working in partnership with other agencies, to solve problems and take appropriate action against offending residents.
Antisocial behaviour can take many forms including;
- Noise, banging doors, shouting and arguing, loud music, dogs barking
- Pets fouling
- Harassment, verbal abuse, racist, sexist or homophobic remarks, threats of violence or actual assault.
- Graffiti or damage to property.
- Selling drugs or drug abuse.
- Dumping rubbish.
- Untidy or overgrown gardens.
- Dumped cars or vehicle repairs at the roadside.
