OPldham Council Factsheets

Welcome to the 'factsonline' page

More and more people are used to being able to get information and do business online 24 hours a day seven days a week.

The 'factsonline' service offers an online information service about services the Council provides. The information which is accessible during the day or night and out of office hours is produced in understandable and plain language and in some cases in easy read format.

The project first started as an inspirational idea from our Social Services Department and was piloted for 18 months with tremendous success. Following its success the Council is now producing fact sheets for most of its services so that people can help themselves to valuable service information without having to phone or visit Council offices.

The Council provides well over 500 services to the community and therefore we would like to ask for your patience if the information about a particular service is not yet online. We do have over 200 fact sheets now online and this figure will carry on growing over the coming months.

'Factsonline' took part in the E-citizen National Project funded by Government during 2005 and is also taking part in the 2006 project. If you would like to know more about the project visit www.e-citizen.gov.uk.

Recently 'factsonline' has been short listed for the E-government National Awards 2006.
