Overview and Scrutiny: What We Have Now

We have six constituted committees who meet every six weeks:

  • Management Board
Undertakes scrutiny of particular issues (of its choosing), and manages the O&S work programme for Oldham. In addition, the Board is responsible for developing the O&S function for Oldham and hearing any Call-Ins. In order to ensure that strong scrutiny links exist between the Council and its partners, a representative from the Oldham Partnership Steering Group sits on the Board as a non voting co-optee.

  • Performance & Value for Money Select Committee
Is responsible for scrutinising the performance of services provided by the Council and its partners as well as the budget setting process for the Council, making sure that services represent value for money

  • Economic Prosperity Select Group

  • Safer & Stronger Communities Select Group
