Smoke Free Oldham
There are a wide range of Regeneration Projects and Programmes in the
Borough which are designed to stimulate business growth, enable disadvantaged communities to share the
benefits of sustainable economic growth and offer a higher quality and safe place to both live and work.
These are the Council’s regeneration challenges. The Council and its partners have had recent success
in bidding for Central Government and European Union funding which are allowing regeneration programmes
to transform large parts of Oldham. Better housing, more jobs, better pay, higher skills, higher quality
developments, improved safety and an environment where businesses can prosper and residents have a higher
quality of life.
