For every contribution you make, the Council makes a contribution too. Because of this the cost to you is just six pence for every pound you earn - even less if yo upay tax and National Insurance.

You can look forward to a guaranteed package of benefits to enjoy when you retire, including:

• a tax free lump sum of up to one and a half times your pay

• a regular income for life with up to half your pay which will go up every year in line with prices.
