Projects
A Safer NDC - This project consists of a three-tiered combination to support ongoing work. This work is centred on the overall objectives of reducing crime and disorder but specifically focuses on the reduction of domestic burglary. The three key elements to this project are: making homes safer, gating alleyways and increasing business security.
Making homes safer by target hardening properties (originally the Safe and Secure Project) supplying advice and support to victims with the added benefits of assistance in adding additional security to their homes so reducing instances or repeat victimisation.
Gating alleyways / Alleyways (Link - Map) - to provide maintenance and support to alleyways already benefiting from the installation of gates. In addition any outstanding gating actiivity to be completed to reduce the possibility of domestic burglary even further.
Increasing the security of business in the NDC. (Business Security Grant) Businesses in the NDC area are eligible to apply for a grant to increase security.
