We understand that caring for somebody else's child or young person can be very demanding, that is why as an Oldham foster carer we offer a wide range of support to help you provide an high standard of care for the children you look after.
Support includes:
Highly competitive salary and allowance (up to £25,00 pa dependent on skills and experience).
Your very own social worker who will be with you every step of the way. They will meet with you regularly to supervise your care of the child, discuss how you are coping and give you the opportunity to raise any concerns that you have. If you are experiencing difficulties with a particular child or situation they will help you develop ways to deal with those problems.
Ongoing training, including NVQ Level 3.
Regular newsletters and support groups.
Support from the Life Chances Team to meet the educational,psychological, emotional and health needs of the child or young person.
