Would you like to be involved in Oldham Council Adult and Community Services?

Oldham Adult and Community Services Directorate provides a wide range of services such as adult social care, housing, leisure, libraries, culture, museums and galleries.

As a provider of public services, it is very important that we work closely with people in Oldham like yourself to help us plan and provide the kind of services that you need and want to see in Oldham.

To do this properly and meaningfully, we need to have a strategy that governs how we should go about involving different groups of people in decision making. We also need to work towards a set of shared objectives for consultation and involvement and monitor and measure our progress against these objectives.

This strategy is called an Involvement Strategy.  We would like to produce this strategy in partnership with people living, working and visiting Oldham and the organisations that the Council works with. This will allow us to make sure that this Involvement Strategy is appropriate for Oldham.

To do this, we will be consulting widely with people and organisations across the borough, through face to face consultation, in writing and online. In the next couple of weeks we will be putting a questionnaire online for people to complete to tell us how they would like to be involved in making decisions about new services and existing services and what they think of and would like us to change in our draft involvement strategy.
