The Customer Services Section provides a “one stop shop” facility for people wanting to make enquiries about Council Tax and Benefits, either in person or by telephone. Staff are able to provide comprehensive advice on a range of queries. There are multiple telephone lines, ten public cubicles and a reception facility available for such enquiries.
The customer services staff have access to individual Council Tax and Benefit details and correspondence to allow them to answer specific queries.
If you would like help or advice with regard to your Council Tax or Benefit, the office is open from 8.40am to 5.00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 9.30am to 5.00pm on Wednesday on Level 4, Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham. Telephone or e-mail enquiries can also be made as follows:

If you simply would like an application for Council Tax Benefit, discount or Direct Debit payment please call the 24 hour form request line on 0161 770 3915.
The Council Tax Direct Debit form can also be downloaded here (PDF 348Kb). You can then print it, fill it in and send it back to the address listed on the form.
