Collection is every two weeks
Bins must be outside by 7:15am on your scheduled collection day. Please make sure the handles of your bin face the road.
Anything that can't be recycled
Lid must be closed
Only rubbish in the grey bin will be taken
Aerosols
Food and Drink cans
Glass bottles and jars
Plastic bottles
Tin foil
Extra carrier bags of recyclable items will be collected if the contents are clearly visible.

Small caddy for your kitchen, large caddy for collection day
All foods e.g. leftovers, peelings, bones, meat, and out of date food
When the kitchen caddy is full, transfer contents to the large caddy
A compostable liner or newspaper can be used to line the small caddy

Leaves and bark
Twigs and small branches
No plastic bags, food, bricks, stones, rubble, soil, turf, pet waste, or household rubbish

Take emptied bins back onto your property as soon as possible, thanks!
Terraced properties that have side or rear passage collection points
Place your bins at the nearest end of the rear passage that adjoins the road. Bins should not be left in the backings.
No-vehicle access walkways
Place your bins at the nearest end of the walkway that adjoins the road.
Front collection points
Place your bins at the front edge of your property.
Rural communities in isolated farms and houses
Place your bins as near as possible to the public highway or nearest vehicular access.
Bins that are put out late, placed in the wrong location, or are considered unsafe due to excessive weight will not be collected. A sticker on the bin says why it hasn't been collected.
When access to bins is not possible (and the reason for this is outside the control of the householder) the Council aims to collect them within 24 hours.
