Welcome to "too many cooks"
In 2004 the Environmental Health Food Safety team won a Food Standards Agency grant and joined forces with Oldham Theatre Workshop to produce ‘too many cooks’ – a thought provoking and powerful piece of drama about food safety. The play was very successful and raised awareness amongst young people about their role in to food safety and the possible serious consequences associated with food poisoning.
The performances were so well received that the Environmental Health Food Department applied for and won a second grant to produce a DVD of the original play.
Oldham Theatre Workshop provided further funding and the resulting piece of filming provides another dramatic and memorable experience for students about food safety.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Oldham Theatre Workshop for all their hard work, and commitment to making it happen.
