Home Access is a government drive to get more families using computers and the internet at home so that everyone has the chance to learn more.
Oldham Council was selected as one of two local authorities to trial the Home Access scheme. Since the pilot programme launched in February 2009, over 4000 low income families and young people in Oldham have been awarded a Home Access grant to buy a Next Generation Learning @ Home computer and internet package.
Following a successful project, applications for Home Access grants are now closed. The national programme is due to launch later this year, and families and young people may be able to apply then if they missed out this time.
If you already have a Home Access grant and need some help and support with choosing a computer and internet package, or getting the equipment set up and online, follow the links on the Next Generation Learning @ Home website.
