How Can You Become Involved in Overview & Scrutiny?

Your Chance to Make a Difference.

Do you care passionately about democracy? Want to use your rights as a citizen of Oldham?

Are there issues affecting you and your community that you would like to see considered? If so, the Council would like to hear from you.

Overview and Scrutiny play a crucial role in the democratic process and ensures that decision-makers are held accountable.

Oldham Council would like to hear from you with your ideas or issues that you think should be looked at. This could be a problem in a local area, a council service or an issue which you feel the council, using its community leadership role should take a lead in improving.

If you think there is a particular issue that should be scrutinised, let us know by completing the 'Request for Scrutiny' form. We will always respond to your request.

Please remember that Overview and Scrutiny does not look at individual complaints. The Council already has a clear complaints procedure in place.
