About the Youth Service
The Youth Service provides opportunities for 13 – 23 year olds that enable:
Young People to have fun, try new things, learn to problem solve, take responsibility for themselves, meet with friends in inviting settings, be involved in decision making, get support from adults, learn new skills and develop new hobbies, make positive choices in their lives and achieve their potential.
This is what young people say about the Youth Service.
- “I live in Coppice and through the sculpture project I learnt about what it’s like to be a young person living in Fitton Hill and Limeside.”
- “I know what a Youth Council is and I’m on it.”
- “The workers listen and I feel I have a real say.”
- “They support me and my culture, I feel safe and welcome.”
- “I’ve reached gold in my Duke of Edinburgh, I’ve achieved something.”
- “The music facilities are really good.”
- “I can talk about my sexuality and not be ridiculed.”
