Service Aims

We have nine key objectives for 2007-08. These objectives provide an overview of what Oldham Sport Development will deliver, and shape the action plans that accompany them:

Service Aims 2007/2008

1. Support the delivery of the PE Schools Sport and Club Links Strategy.
2. Continuously improve the service to achieve and maintain excellence
3. To create and support the development of well structured and child friendly, inclusive Sports Clubs
4. To raise and recognize the number and quality of volunteers and coaches in the Borough.
5. Ensure the successful development and delivery of key Sport Development programmes
6. To work in and within Oldham’s Communities, to increase and develop life-long participation in sport and physical activity.
7. To increase the profile of Sport Development through publicity and marketing
8. To improve effectiveness through the management and personal development of all staff.
9. Ensure an opportunity for all young people to participate in high quality competitive opportunities
