Peak District National Park

Tell us about your local park at the Million Voices website and we’ll tell you about hundreds of others you can visit!

There are numerous parks and open spaces throughout Oldham. You can find more information and details of countryside events throughout the year on the Visit Oldham website.

Oldham’s parks are the responsibility of the Council’s Environmental Services Directorate. They are looked after by a team of staff including Gardeners, Landscape Architects, Arboricultural Officers, and Modern Apprentices working their way to a career in Horticulture.

The apprentices, based in Alexandra Park, have had the chance to demonstrate their skills and teamwork at this year’s Royal Horticulture Society (RHS) show at Tatton Park and were successful in achieving a Silver Gilt Award in the ‘Back to Back’ garden category.
