Q. How do I join the library?

Bring 1 piece of ID to any library in Oldham, something with your name and address on it

Q. How long may I borrow library items for?

Books (normally) – 3weeks unless they are in the 2 week loan collections.

Music – (green tickets) – 1 week (pay as you borrow); white ticket (subscription ticket) – 2 items for 3 weeks.

Q. How many items may I borrow on my library card?

Q. What can I do if I am unable to return the items on loan to me?

You can renew items by phone, by e-mail, by letter, by fax or in person (twice). Or you can return items to your nearest library in Oldham.

Q. What happens if I do not return the items on loan to me by the date they are due?

You will be charged a fine :

Adult tickets (green) – 12p per day up to a maximum of £6.00.

Teens ticket (orange), OAP or Leisure Pass holders – 2p per day up to a maximum of £2.00.
