Affordable Warmth

What the service is

The Council’s Affordable Warmth Strategy is focused on working with a range of partners to reduce incidents of fuel poverty and to improve the energy efficiency of homes across the borough.

Who the service is for

Residents who are living in cold, energy inefficient homes that are expensive to heat to an adequate temperature.

How you can access the service

By calling the local Energy Savings Trust Advice Centre for free, independent energy saving advice.  They can provide impartial information on home energy efficiency and can advise on grants and offers that may be available to help towards the costs of installing measures.

Alternatively, if you are already claiming benefits, you can call Warm Front direct on 0808 155 04774 to see if you are eligible for a Warm Front grant (£2700 max) towards energy efficiency measures in your home.  If you have the internet please go to www.warmfront-grants.com and find out more information.
