Community Sport Coach Scheme

The community coach scheme aims to develop a national structure for coaching and increase the number of qualified coaches, volunteers and high quality coaching with a focus on young people.

The development of the coaching scheme in Oldham will increase the number of young people participating in sport and physical activity in school and within the community. The community sessions provide a pathway for young people from schools to clubs.

A Community Sport Coach is a qualified National Governing Body coach with relevant experience for the coaching role. They are committed to continuous professional development and is checked by an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)
