V involved is the national youth volunteering programme for young people aged 16-25 years. Working in partnership with V involved, the service can help young people with opportunities to access awards, training and accreditation and develop their own volunteer projects, revolutionising youth action, participation and volunteering.
V involved has two official awards to help young volunteers get the recognition they deserve. The awards are ‘v fifty’ once you complete 50 hours of volunteering within a 12 month period, after which a volunteer can then advance to ‘v impact’ which involves completing a further 100 hours of volunteering. Voluntary hours can be anything from traditional charity work, helping with sport sessions to running a hospital radio station!
Any volunteers interested in sport can be signposted via the V involved team to the service, where we will work with you to find your ideal volunteer placement(s). These placements could be with local community based accredited sports clubs, with the Integrated Youth Service through its school/ community programmes, or by being involved with the many exciting sporting events that take place each year.
Each year there are the V inspired national awards held in London, which celebrates and recognises the incredible contributions young people aged 16-25 have made to their communities through all forms of volunteering.
