Oldham to Ashton - A new bridge over the Medlock
This Connect2 reserve cycling scheme will seek to complete the traffic free cycle route along the former Oldham to Ashton railway line, by providing a major bridge crossing across the Medlock Valley, thus linking these two town centres with a high quality and reasonable flat cycle route. This joint bid with Tameside Council, will include two bridges, one over Alt Hill Lane and the second spanning the River Medlock at Park Bridge.
