Community Events
Refugee Week (16 June – 22 June)
A special event will take place at Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre on Thurs 19 June. Our programme of free ESOL facilitation and ICT literacy sessions for refugees and asylum seekers will be launched during the event. There will also be opportunities to attend talks, view presentations and enjoy a selection of culturally diverse entertainment.
A Refugee Week Football Tournament takes place on Sunday 22 June, 12noon-2pm, at Chapel Road Football Pitch in Hollinwood, in partnership with Oldham Athletic. Why not come along and soak up the atmosphere as an assortment of community teams challenge each other on the pitch!

Ramadan Partnership Activities (21 August – 31 August)
Watch out for activities including displays, a Qira’t (recitation of the Quran), a competition for children under the age of 11, a quiz competition for young people aged 11-16 years and an interfaith fast event (which will spill over into September). A range of talks will also be on offer.
