Scrap Metal Site Licence

The Scrap Metal Dealers Act 1964 requires that any person or business wishing to carry on as a scrap metal dealer must register with their local authority.

You need to be registered in Oldham if:

• a place in the Oldham Borough is occupied by you as a scrap metal store or
• you live in the Oldham Borough or
• you run your business from the Oldham Borough
