Adoption

Adoption is giving a child a new and permanent family when their own parents cannot bring them up. If you adopt a child, all the rights and responsibilities for that child are permanently legally given to you. The children that need adopting are all ages from a wide range of ethnic, racial and religious backgrounds, brothers and sisters and children with a physical or learning disability or both.

We are especially keen to hear from people wanting to adopt:

  • older children - four to eight years old;
  • more than one child;
  • children with disabilities or special needs; and
  • children with mixed ethnicity or from minority backgrounds.
