Oldham’s Pollution Control section in the Environmental Services Directorate deals with a wide range of enquiries from the public who are being affected by something they consider to be a ‘Nuisance’.
Pollution Control Officers use powers provided by ‘The Environmental Protection Act 1990’ to deal with Smoke, fumes or gases, dust, odour, artificial light and Noise that are considered as a ‘Statutory Nuisance’ by the said Act.
